Carbon Reduction Plan

1. Commitment Statement

TRF Healthcare Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 in alignment with the UK Government’s target. We recognise the impact that business operations have on the environment and are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint through responsible practices and continuous improvement.

2. Baseline Emissions

As a healthcare services provider, our primary emissions are generated through:

• Scope 1 (Direct Emissions): Company-owned vehicles used for staff travel between care assignments.
• Scope 2 (Energy Indirect Emissions): Electricity and heating consumption at our office premises.
• Scope 3 (Other Indirect Emissions): Staff commuting, business travel, purchased goods and services, and waste disposal.

3. Current Emissions Reporting

We are committed to measuring, monitoring, and reporting our greenhouse gas emissions on an annual basis. As a growing company, we are in the process of establishing comprehensive baseline data to enable accurate year-on-year reporting and target setting.

4. Carbon Reduction Initiatives

TRF Healthcare Ltd has implemented and is planning the following measures to reduce our carbon emissions:

Travel and Transport

• Optimising care schedules to minimise unnecessary travel between client locations.
• Encouraging the use of public transport, cycling, and car-sharing among staff.
• Exploring the transition to electric or hybrid vehicles for company use.
• Utilising virtual meetings and digital communication tools to reduce business travel.

Energy and Operations

• Transitioning to energy-efficient lighting and equipment in our office premises.
• Reducing energy consumption through smart heating and cooling practices.
• Considering renewable energy sources for our office electricity supply.

Waste and Resources

• Reducing paper usage through digitisation of records, care plans, and communications.
• Implementing recycling programmes in the workplace.
• Sourcing environmentally responsible products and supplies where possible.

Staff Engagement

• Raising awareness of carbon reduction among all team members through training and communication.
• Encouraging staff to adopt sustainable practices both at work and at home.

5. Carbon Reduction Targets

TRF Healthcare Ltd aims to achieve the following targets:

• Establish a comprehensive emissions baseline by 2025.
• Achieve a 30% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 (from baseline year).
• Achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.

6. Declaration and Sign Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance, and reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans. The information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge. This plan will be reviewed and updated annually.
